I have drum in my heart, and have been sick with this loss. I had a very nice talking drum which I had mastered and used for many years, it was struck by my step-son a month ago (subsequently it is dead). On a recent trip to Seattle, I purchased a beautiful djembe and loved it so. I played and played for the duration of my trip. En route home to Gastonia, the airport Fucked the drum up... the skin is ripped. I must re-head my djembe and I know little about it. Sorry to trouble you, but if you could give me any local advice where to go for supplies I would appreciate anything you can give. When I'm back and druming I would like to jam, if you know of any others interested I'd like to start a Circle somewhere near the River between Mecklenburg and Gaston County.
